Jimmy's Eastside Diner is a classic American-style diner tucked into Miami’s Biscayne Boulevard corridor, serving up hearty breakfasts that feel rooted in a no-fuss, homey tradition. The moment you step inside, the old Americana decor sets the tone, offering a nostalgic vibe reminiscent of diners you might find along a cross-country road trip rather than the trendy Miami scenes nearby. This is the sort of place where locals and travelers alike settle in for a meal that feels like it was made just for them — simple, satisfying, and generous in portion.

Best known for its extensive breakfast menu, Jimmy’s specializes in dishes like biscuits and gravy, Eggs Benedict, and the substantial Eggcetera plates which come with Miami ham steak or New York-style corned beef hash. The hash browns here merit a special mention, consistently praised for their crispy, well-seasoned texture—a solid staple that complements the ample egg dishes and made-from-scratch sides. Portions are robust, matching the classic diner ethos of filling you up without emptying your wallet.

The atmosphere leans toward relaxed and welcoming, with a steady flow of regulars and visitors who appreciate a good, hot coffee that’s endlessly refilled throughout their meal. The service manages to balance attentiveness with a laid-back approach, avoiding any rushed feeling. Mornings here are quietly energetic — warm plates delivered alongside steaming mugs of coffee in clean, white porcelain cups enhance that authentic diner experience.

This is a place well suited for early breakfast runs or late morning hangouts when you want familiar comfort food without pretense. It works for solo diners who enjoy focusing on their meal and people watching, as well as groups looking to start their day with a reliable, filling meal. The diner’s location makes it a convenient stop if you’re exploring nearby Wynwood or Midtown but craving a break from trendy brunch spots.

  • Traditional American diner setting with nostalgic decor
  • Robust portions of classic breakfast plates like biscuits & gravy, Eggs Benedict, and corned beef hash
  • Friendly, unhurried service paired with bottomless coffee
  • Affordable prices that keep the focus on good food, not flash
  • Busy on weekend mornings but welcoming throughout the week

In short, Jimmy’s Eastside Diner doesn’t try to be anything fancy — it’s a straightforward, dependable spot where the familiar comforts of breakfast shine and where the diner tradition lives on in Miami’s diverse culinary landscape.

Jimmy’s Eastside Diner was a genuine breakfast delight. Everything felt freshly made and full of quiet morning energy — warm plates, bright flavors, and service that struck the sweet spot between attentive and relaxed. The prices were refreshingly reasonable, as if the place wanted to send you back into the day with a gentle “you’ve got this.” A spot that doesn’t pretend to be anything fancy and shines because of it. Highly recommended!

I love the hash browns. There is a free flow of coffee. Unlike Denmark , the food is excellent and has a big portion. But the bill is small, so we were really happy about it. I highly recommend trying it if you want to have the real diner vibe from the old days!!

Here you can enjoy an authentic American breakfast. The atmosphere and service are excellent. Without a doubt, I’ll be back. Pd: I loved the hash brown from this place.

You can't visit Miami/Wynwood/Midtown/Miami Beach without having breakfast or lunch at Jimmy's Eastside Diner. The decor is old Americana, like the kind of decor you would find if you stopped at a mom and pop diner in a small town on your way across America. The coffee is steaming hot, flavorful, and unlimited - served in the classic white porcelain cups that make you feel you're in an established diner. Waffles, omelettes, Greek salads, burgers, home-made chicken soup - among do much more! The service is top notch and they prices very reasonable. You will have your delicious food served to you quickly, even when the restaurant is slammed. One important aspect is that it feels like the staff is a family there. The locals really do eat there, and it is a wonderful cross-section of all races, nationalities, and genders. Interesting note: this was the place where they filmed the diner scene on the Oscar-winning film: "Moonlight". It's located on Biscayne Boulevard (US1) (there's another Jimmy's on 125th Street) Biscayne Boulevard is the famous Boulevard where many scenes of "Miami Vice" and the movie "Bad Boys" were filmed. It's also where the culture is: Brickell Avenue, Downtown Miami, the Arsht Center, Opera House, and Bayside Marketplace. Driving north on the Boulevard is an experience all it's own and will take you all the way to Broward County. You will absolutely live Jimmy's!

Jimmy's has been a Miami staple for decades with solid breakfast at very reasonable prices. Lisa was our server today and was the best server I ever had here. She was friendly, smiley, efficient and her service was caring and over-the-top. The restaurant was very crowded and her ability to provide such excellent service considering how busy they were was admirable. If only Miaml had more servers with such a great attitude and execution. She made my day.

I recently stopped by Jimmy's Eastside Diner on Biscayne Blvd for breakfast, and it was a comfortable, casual experience. The diner has a classic, laid-back feel, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. I ordered a hearty breakfast plate, and everything was fresh and well-cooked. The portions were generous, and the food had that familiar, comforting diner taste. The atmosphere made it easy to relax and enjoy the meal without feeling rushed. Overall, it’s a dependable spot for a simple, satisfying breakfast or lunch. I’d definitely return next time I’m in the area.

Old school no frills diner with good food, quick service, excellent prices and friendly neighborhood atmosphere. Lots of home made/scratch made options. The Hollandaise sauce for the eggs Benedict was a broken but flavor was nice. The biscuits with sausage gravy were delicious. Key lime pie is homemade and hits the spot. I would definitely recommend and I'll keep coming back.
